Hi Teresa, We meet at the Great Lakes Art Fair in April this year. My friend Jill and I spoke with you for some time about your book and your story. We were very inspired and interested in meeting with you for our book club. We would love to read this book over the summer and discuss it at our book club in September. You had mentioned that you could possibly get books for our members (there are just six of us and I already have the book!). You also mentioned that you would love to meet with us after we finished the book to discuss it, possibly for coffee. Please let us know about the books and when you would possibly be available in early September. How fortunate for me that I was able to listen to Teresa Irish tell us about her parents that she loved and admired so much that she was able to complete the book "A THOUSAND LETTERS HOMESS". It is a tremendous Love Sstory of a young couple that knew they wanted to marry, and waited for three years until Teresa's dad could return from Europe during WWII. As a WWII veteran I found his trials very understanding. I hope there is a huge audience for Teresa's book.

Teresa, I couldn't put the book down! What wonderful parents you are blessed to have! This book is a true testament to your mom and dad's wonderful character, faith and high standards in life! I thank you for your tenacity and dedication in sharing your parents with us... Historically it reminded us so much of the sacrifice, struggles and great losses that era had endured. My parents also were part of the WWII era. I know the importance of this part of history being taught to the next generations. Your book will be passed on in my family. Questions: With your mom and dad continuing a life-long friendship with Verdell Foard, were they also able to keep in touch at all with Cooley and Hayes? Hi Teresa, I had met you at Ft. Bragg Spouses' Club back in the Fall. I had emailed you over the weekend to see if you would be interested in coming to my home for lunch on Feb. 20th. I belong to a lunch group, (smaller group than the Bragg Club, but part of it), and we are doing a "Love" lunch with food, chocolate, and good conversation for the month of February!
